Come one, come all
It has been far too long since I rented a library in Toronto. After a long
drought of no technic games in Toronto, and to dispel any myth that my new true
love and favorite hobby is 3D printing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQ_b4yVTEw8
I would like to propose a simple game of
T E C H B A L L
This will be the same exciting fun game that Janey and I won 2nd place in when
the game was held at Brickfete.
This will be the same fun game, and rules that were invented by QLUG in Quebec.
Without further adieu;
WHERE:
Fairview library
35 Fairview Mall Dr., Toronto, ON M2J 4S4
416-395-5750
http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/detail.jsp?R=LIB010
WHEN:
Saturday Jan 21, 2012
Why:
To get a fun simple game going to get the mojo back to rtlToronto to show those
train heads that ROBOTS are more fun
HOW:
-----------rules-----------
Teams of two compete to score the most goals in a given time period. Matches
consist of two 120-second periods, with teams alternating sides at half-time. In
the event of a tie, a third (or fourth or fifth or as many as required) period
will be added.
Arena: The game is played using ball 41250, with 6-stud diameter.
The arena is delineated by a 1x2 metre wooden frame, with 45cm wide and 15 cm
high goals cut into the centre of each end of the frame.

Rules:
Individual Techball modules are subject to the following restrictions and
limitations:
* Maximum size of 16 x 16 x 16 cm (16 cm = 6¼ in = 20 studs or 16 bricks high)
* Maximum weight of 600 grams
* Maximum of two (2) motors and one (1) IR receiver
* IR receiver must be placed such that channel can easily be changed between
matches
* No moving parts, except for wheels
* Modules may not capture or hold the ball
* Modules should be robust and come apart as little as possible during play.
Expect crashes.
* Official, unmodified LEGO pieces only. Stickers and/or paint are fine.
Any piece that falls off of a Techball module during play will be collected and
put aside at the end of the current period. Players will be allowed to repair
their modules in between matches only.
--------------------end rules---------
Da End
Regards
Chris

| (...) Im so ready for this! Cant wait to play! Im also going to keep mine together (with necessary tweaks) for Brickfete 2012. See you all there, and good luck to everyone that enters. This game is a blast! Janey "Red Brick" (13 years ago, 2-Nov-11, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
