Larry is incredibly thick skinned. I go through almost nothing compared to
what hes gone through, and Ive been very close to resigning my position at
Lugnet because of what Ive gone through. You dont even know all of the
crap hes gone through, as most of it is done via private email. Private
email, I should add, that he doesnt post because it would be unethical to do
so.
It is crass jokes like this and
this, that are making Lugnet
an un-fun place to be.
Bad form on both of you.

You know I support the admins and stated as such numerous times, and have, in
the history of LUGNET and my posting here, stood up for the team over and over
again. You know this to be true.
Bad form on me? I dont think so. I mentioned what I did above as a general
statement, but including in that general statement Larrys perceived shortness
with me (as I saw it), but it wasnt specifically directed at Larry, it was
direected at the shortness of many many people that have access to view and
are interested in this particular issue.
Its bad form to attribute an action to a person when the person hasnt (as yet)
partaken in that particular action. And I dont fall for the guilt by
association, either, for that brings us right back to Im responsible for what
other people do or say.
Im not.
Bad form is, again, shooting the messanger cause you dont like the message.
Ill not send off private e-mails to people for I stand by what I say, and, if
shown to be wrong, will apologize and try to make up for my transgression(s). I
put my name on what I write and put it out there for all to see. If people
dont like what Ive said, or they have issues with it, they are more than
welcome to reply.
Id rather have a friend wholl tell me, Hey, you have a booger hanging from
your nose than one who is too embarassed to tell me. Sure theres a nice way
of letting me know, like a whisper in my ear instead of shouting it in a room
full of people--Hey Koudys!! Grab a hanky man! Youve got a bat in the
cave!!!
I thought I was very understated in pointing out the, as perceived by me,
apparent grey area where the ToU is concerned, as well as the is it
censorship or not. As far as I can see, most people who have stated an opinion
that this self censorship or time-out will occur have been polite and
non-confrontational. Those who have chips on their shoulder, who havent been
sop polite--well, we just have to put up with that cause thats the background
noise that comes with this type of endeavour.
I kept on saying to Larry--bring it to me--if youre replying to something I
wrote, then reply to what I wrote and not what others are saying or doing.
Anything else is bad form.
