"Rest assured I was on the internet within minutes registering my disgust
throughout the world."

I read a few of the replies to that post about the old grey packs and I was
absolutely astonished and dismayed by the attitudes and responses written
towards Lego about it.  Some of them, made me rather embarassed to be a fan of
Lego.  (there's always http://www.torontoaccords.com/, I suppose)

I think if I were working there, right about now I'd be saying, to hell with
these weirdos because frankly, they'll whine about just about anything.  Cancel
grey, they complain.  Bring some packs back to help out, they complain.  Ask for
responses and solicit ideas, they complain.

Instead of using the avenues suggested by Jake, people flame him.  Then they
suggest boycotting the stuff he worked hard to help us get.  I love that.  We've
all worked hard to develop a good rapport with Lego all these years, and I'm
sick of people sitting in their armchairs criticizing them.  They didn't have to
help us out with all the initiatives they've done and we're nowhere near the
worth we think we are to them.

AFOLs are quickly representing themselves as spoiled children that take what
generous support they've offered for granted.

(Some of the tactics suggested remind me of those losers who call up Dell and
tell they they won't be buying their machine because they've been wronged by a
bundled preload of Windows.  Yeah, they'll really miss your single PC purchase
when they ship several thousand machines a day.  Linux/OSS zealots I think are
the lamest of all, just short of Amiga fans. :)
