  Re: DCC for train2

(...) Thats what they will do, because there's ALLWAYS the FULL power on the tracks. The BIG advantage from DCC is that EVERY TRAIN can run at DIFFERENT SPEED ON THE SAME TRACK.It's up to some clever software to prevent collision, or bump into each (...)   DCC for train2

Hi folks, Not to get the Mindstorms folks out of the picture, but I'd like to consider the possibility of going to NMRA DCC (Digital Command Control) for 9V Lego Train at rtl/train2 (which would be late summer...September even) The way it works is (...)   Re: "Track Run"

Hi Jeff, I was wondering if you could tell me if there were any more of the 4 Chrome Castle sets they had on display a while back. Any info would be greatly appreciated! (URL) Thanx, --==Richard==-- (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: DCC TRAIN w/ MS & VLL

(...) That's a pretty cool idea, but I suspect by the time it's perfected, we'll be on DCC. In fact, we could probably go DCC for train1 just for the shunt yard and iso the shunt yard alone from the rest of the power blocks, which need isolation (...)   Re: DCC TRAIN w/ MS & VLL

Hey Chris, I didn't mean to imply I couldn't *ever* get it to work, just only at full power. If you remove the stops, the train goes 2 or 3 feet in 1 message. I'm trying to overcome *that* problem :) I think the problem with the regular lamp is that (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: "Track Run"

(...) Hi Dave, I made it to the store today, and they had lots of straight and curved tracks, but no cross or switch tracks. The lady who worked there, said that it has been sold out since christmass and on back order ever since. Jeff (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Trains1

(...) I think that's almost a given that it'll be 9V only. But given the historical nature of a set like 122, you might not want to bring it out for sake of it being damaged. Calum (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: the robot game field

I've never tested it, but I'm 99% sure that the light sensor is actually sensitive to IR. If this is indeed the case, then, naturally, you'll want to be looking for nail polish. Huh?? Wait, that doesn't make much sense. I should have refered to nail (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Self-detaching yard engine

I'm not quite clear on how you are sending the VLL messages, nor am I clear on what software you are using to send them.   Trains1

I'm under the impression that Trains1 will be all electric? (that is, 9V). I've been wondering if I should throw together set 122 and some of the freight cars from that era..... Matthias Jetleb VA3-MWJ (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
