  Important Hobby Show info

I just received all the paperwork for the hobby show. First, to get the 'special rate' for electricity, the forms must be signed and sent in by Oct 20th. K, I'll handle that. Secondly, the passes must be picked up on Thursday between 8 a.m. and 10 (...) (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Re: RCX and train motors...

(...) No need to write it, it already exists! Find it here: (URL) never got around to actually posting this code in a public place as I've just emailed it directly to interested individuals. Anyways, there's a patch to BrickOS, the DCC routines (...) (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I don't know a heck of a lot about it, but digital cable is both encrypted and often proprietary. So my guess is, there may be some unencrypted (...)   Re: Rogers Digital Cable

(...) Rogers definitely has one you can rent or buy. Early reports are it's pretty good. But you can't directly save anything off of it. So I was thinking if it was possible to build one for around the same price as they sell theirs it might be (...) (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Rogers Digital Cable

(...) I've seen reports of MythTV being used often with digital cable - usually with an IR blaster, but some boxes have a nice serial interface. (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Rogers Digital Cable

(...) Well, you can RENT a Digital PVR from Rogers I bet. Regular PVR systems you might need a channel changer via IR. Not sure if any of the digital boxes allow for serial/USB changing. Calum (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

he bought me a toothbrush not just any toothbrush--a Colgate toothbrush with a Jack Stone minifig in the handle! Yay for me! Dave K (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Rogers Digital Cable

Well Rogers basically bribed me into getting Digital Cable. I could put the digital box in a closet, still get the same selection of channels, and it will cost me 5 dollars less a month. Works for me. I guess they are working towards getting (...) (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  well...

So in building the 'underside' of the mountain, I used up all my 23 red bricks. I was quite surprised 'cause I had lots of 'em. Eh, now I have to change the colour--it'll look hokey, but I'm good at hokey... This is fun! Dave K (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Best "practical" use of Megablocks?

(...) It's not that elaborate, seriously. It's like four Megablocks stuck together to hold the plate up about half an inch. Did you want a 6.3MP shot of a pie being held up using Megablocks shot with my EOS300D and a Sigma28f1.8? Or should I use the (...) (19 years ago, 18-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
