Brilliant work, Calum, as usual. Couple of comments: [1] I hope it's not *your* yellow ink cartridge. [2] I *knew* the gear was busted, but I couldn't see where right away. If you could bear to shoot the image again, you might try putting some (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My first LDraw... thing

(...) I have a li'l exp. with MLCAD -> LDAO -> L3P -> POV-Ray--my rendering of hte grabber mechanism on my 'bot page is an example. While not fluent with all aspects of these apps, I think I can help with the basics if you need some help. By the by, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I'm glad you like it. It printed actually rather poorly on our ColourLaserJet 5M at the office. First off, half the fonts didn't work. Which makes me worry, because that means I'm going to go through all that font silliness with AcroBat again. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Use a program like L3P to do the conversion from DAT to POV-Ray. (URL) guarantees on the version though... those don't get updated as often as I'd like. :\ We're working on getting them more up to date! -Tim ldraw.org (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
