  Advent Calendar

Has anyone seen the Advent Calender set in Toronto stores? I'd like to get one soon. Well, by the Dec 1, if I can. :-) Derek (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: No one asked...

(...) How would you do it with train track? It can most likely be steeper then you can make a ramp with train track. I'm still trying to figure out how to solve the width, interference problem. Might have to give up on the racer track and build a (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: The Toy Blox - Lego Superstore!

(...) Selling of Used LEGO bricks in a retail store I guess is a rare thing. I know of only one such store that does this in upstate New York, USA. The store is primarily a video gamer store. The used LEGO is just a gimmick to draw in kids and their (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

For all the robot guys: (URL) HAVE to watch the demo videos. Note especially the "teach" and "haptic" videos. I can't believe the level of control they are getting without encoders. Its incredible. I'm not sure I want a gameboy on my robots, but the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: No one asked...

(...) LUGNET admins have heard periodic reports of this, but Todd has not yet found the issue. If you would be willing to help try to debug this, please contact Todd (or me if you're not sure how to contact Todd) with details of your setup. (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Block STACKING - feb 2005?

(...) No, it's a different SPI: (URL) MiniBoard (which the RCX was based on) has this thing called SPI, which allows you to link multiple Miniboards together. It is a serial protocol. What you're talking about sounds like a dry contact general (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Block STACKING - feb 2005?

(...) presume (...) right? Calum, SPI is as far from Serial as... as far as cerial is from a mushy banana. :) SPI uses 2 16-pin connectors (M/F F/M) on the moulding machine/robot, each line has a specific designated signal and everything is (...)   Re: The Toy Blox - Lego Superstore!

(...) I've been told by rtlToronto'er Oliver Giesen that this is the way it works at some used stores in Germany apparently. (...) I don't think they'll ever be able to match the Wal or TRU for pricing. Hopefully they'll do okay by making it up on (...)   Re: No one asked...

(...) Well, that's an issue. We haven't asked for more than 15x15 from NMRA, have we? And bringing all this stuff down will be a killer. We still don't have a clear plan as how to bring the corner down. Calum (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Thanks rtl(rlt, wink)Toronto

(...) Actually, that's what I did. I took the juice (aka, syrup) from the can, and mixed it with extra sugar and cornstarch and boiled it in a pot separate from the peaches. (...) Gah. That's unfortunate and slightly disturbing. The owner had originally said that they would be getting the official PaB set up 'in a couple months'. Hopefully in the new year it will resemble the more traditional PaB format and quality. (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Just a follow-up on the Toy Blox in Whitby, Ontario... Dropped by there today (Nov. 25) and they're still setting up a few things.
