  Re: MAERSK SEALAND

(...) Loved the build. Loved the shape. Loved the instructions. K, not so much love for the containers, but they're done... I've noticed something--in all the actual pictures, the second set of containers is one plate lower than the rest. I don't (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  MAERSK SEALAND

Built my Maersk ship last night. What a great model. It was a lot of fun to build. Well up until the containers, then it got a little repetitive. Great way to start out your stone grey collection. Tons of 1x2, and 2x8 plates, 2x10 bricks and 1x6 (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Sorting

(...) It's funny because the new Ferrari set is what prompted this. Not only does it have new grey bushings, it has red and white ones too. Now in a bin of thousands of bushings the red and white will still stand out, the new grey ones will never be (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Sorting

(...) Derek, I've spent plenty of time making fun of people who are freaking out over the color change. However, I just discovered how nice [the old] dark grey looks when accenting a blue or black robot. I didn't really consider the new colors to be (...)   Sorting

So I parted my first 2004 set into my collection. I'm trying to figure out how to sort out the new greys. Now it was a technic set, and I don't separate technic colours much anyway, but it got me thinking about the future. I discovered, when I threw (...)   Re: VHS Video Tapes

(...) You could use it to weave a cage for deathmatches, and call it "Mad Derek Beyond Mylardome". It's a suggestion. Calum (21 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  another modification

(URL) a quick mod--a 9v wire soldered directly to the motor inside a train motor housing. This allows the motor to work as a conventional motor as well as a DCC one. Using the external DCC 2x8 brick I made a while back, this works quite well. Hope (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
