Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

(...) Not to pressure anyone, but just as an FYI... we're hoping to have some idea of whether or not we have enough people as soon as possible. In other words, they are holding a booth for us, but are looking for a final answer soon. By the sounds (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

Re: wishin' on a BIG star

(...) Some cool parts!!! Glad someone agrees with the flower thingys ;) I'd also like: 1x3 tiles... such a pain to have to use a 1x2 and a 1x1 when there is no stud to attach the 1x1 to (for example tops of certain fences (spindled) etc). 1x2x2 (...)   Re: Visit to Northern California and possibly LEGOLAND California

(...) Tim, I live about 30 minutes from LL CA. And I used to live in Fremont, which is next door to NewarkL. Count on a 8 hour drive from one to the other. I don't know if the LEGO store up there is open yet, but there are two on you route to SD. (...)   Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

Visit to Northern California and possibly LEGOLAND California

I am going to Northern California for training from July 26-August 13, and would love to meet up with some AFOL's if there are any meetings or shows going on in that timeframe. I'm not sure what my weekday hours will look like for training, but I'll (...)   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) This part has already been spotted, but it's not quite the same design. She asked for a 3x3 33 degree triple corner slope (wow, I hadn't really noticed how 3-centric that part was...), but the one shown in the scan is a 4x4 18 degree triple (...)   Re: Event kit update and request for data

(...) We just got feedback from the organizer of Railfair Ottawa, and he says that the attendance was between 2500-3000 with 20-25% being children. That works out to 500-750 children, which matches my conservative guess. Tim Strutt (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.events, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, FTX)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Well, a lot of the pieces you showed would make sense to complete the Lego system. BUT we are talking of TLC, so waiting for a solution that would make sense is most propably a waste of time.   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Lots of excellent choices. I've got a bit of a wish list two. a) 1x3, 2xn tiles. Basically, tiles in the same size range as we already have in plates b) 2xn plates with a single row of studs (similar to the 2x1 with one stud) c) ball & socket (...)   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Well, if they made it in an 18 slope even though there's only one other basic compatible piece (I know there's also a triple-wedge, but...), there's always a chance that they might make it in 33 and 45 degree versions someday.   Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Close, but not quite. I just got the Summer S@H catalog today, and the black faceted slopes used on that mech's waist are 18 degree slopes, but #22a has the proportions of a 33 degree slope.
