Are you the only LUGr in Calgary (and area?) You'd think there'd be
about as many AFOLs there as here. As for the use of the list instead
of the newsgroup, there seems to be two schools of thought. Some here
like to keep communication within the list unless it's relevant to the
public or should be archived. I (and perhaps I alone) figure that this
is already almost as non-public as the list, and that only the odd thing
that is confidential (like someone's home address or phone number) should
be keep out of here. I associate e-mail with one-to-one communication,
and having group communication all here keeps things organized for me.
If there were an additional cost of some kind to talking here instead of
the list I could understand it, but text takes up miniscule amounts of
hard-drive space, which itself is incredibly cheap now. Anyway, I'm
sure you can be added to the list if you'd like. Just send me the LEGO
set of your choice (min. 150 pcs.) and we'll add your address. 8-)

| Yes, I'm in Calgary. I'd love to be put on that list. I guess that explains why this group seems to be quiet a lot of the time. Adam (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)
