  Re: after action report

(...) :) Want to compare notes? (URL) is the only one with track on it. (...) I could also very likely go to Supertrain 2001. This would solve the transport problem; I could bring down all the tables & and a lot of the models. (...) Me too. If we (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

(...) Not yet, I don't want to push my luck. It was bad enough that she saw me sketching plans for the next layout last night! Actually, while driving home, I told her that I was sad that I had missed the 20% off sale on the large Star Wars sets, (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) Actually, a couple of the NMRA brass-types admitted to me that this is a real and significant problem they're experiencing. Sure, benchmarks continue to be raised but there is a measurable vacuum at the entry level, (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

BrickShelf error (was Re: Fun with Track Designer...)

(...) Aren't you a daddy yet? :-) Oh well - All in good time. (...) days now, and whenever I try to upload, I get an "Internal Server Error". I've e-mailed Kevin Loch about it, but no response/reply.   Re: after action report

(...) Good to hear - remember your family is more important than any amount of LEGO. Spend time with them rather than us whenver they want to. That said, have you mentioned the Feb.17&18 2001 Calgary show? I was thinking that if you couldn't make (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Fun with Track Designer...

Well, it's been a slow morning here at work (go figure - no one is expecting me to be available this week!) so I downloaded TD, and played around a bit. It's fun. :) I've put up a few things on brickshelf here: (URL) is just the GETS 2000 layout (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

(...) [deliberately violating the FUT, to include lugnet.org.ca.nalug] It doesn't seem to me like the hobby is in any danger of dying out. Looking at Kevin's magazines, the layouts at the show, and the crowds that came to see them, I'd say its as (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) The organizer for SuperTrain 2001 wanted us to participate specifically because our display was far and away the most popular with the kids.   Re: NALUG Train Show - Mission report

(...) Big Red is my fave engine from your group... nice and beefy. Just don't tell me it's 8 wide. LOL. (...) Remember how I said every club needs a Thomas? (...) Hehe, did I miss you posting YOUR show report? We saw a lot of pictures but not a lot of talk yet. Gotta agree, though, NALUG rocked the place. Nice work guys, especially for an inaugural show. (...) well, now that I'm awake, I'll give it a shot. :) The layout was 90" by 120", pretty small, really. As a result it was a bit cramped, especially for whoever was operating at the time.
