Clearly this discussion belongs here, so… Michel wrote: I thought that it would probably be the best time to comment on what went well, what was forgotten, and what needs to be changed next time.   Fun with Track Designer...

Well, it's been a slow morning here at work (go figure - no one is expecting me to be available this week!) so I downloaded TD, and played around a bit. It's fun. :) I've put up a few things on brickshelf here: (URL) is just the GETS 2000 layout (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) Nice sig. It made me laugh. Thanks, Chris (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) [deliberately violating the FUT, to include lugnet.org.ca.nalug] It doesn't seem to me like the hobby is in any danger of dying out. Looking at Kevin's magazines, the layouts at the show, and the crowds that came to see them, I'd say its as (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) The organizer for SuperTrain 2001 wanted us to participate specifically because our display was far and away the most popular with the kids. If kids don't get interested in model trains, (so that new members join) the hobby will die out as its (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: NALUG Train Show - Mission report

(...) Mine are still not uploaded. I've been busy catching up here, and watching Kevin's videos. I'll let you all know when they are up, but having looked at the other two sets, I doubt there is much extra, although I do have one or two of the (...)   Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Big Red is my fave engine from your group... nice and beefy. Just don't tell me it's 8 wide. LOL. (...) Remember how I said every club needs a Thomas? I'm thinking every club that has the space ought to have a JJMP on their layout. What a (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Hehe, did I miss you posting YOUR show report? We saw a lot of pictures but not a lot of talk yet. Gotta agree, though, NALUG rocked the place. Nice work guys, especially for an inaugural show. The hits (GMLTC, PNLTC, NGLTC, WAMALUG, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NALUG Train Show - Mission report

(...) Well, I forgot my camera, and it's not as good as Chris', Kevins, and James', so I guess it's up to me to use words instead of pictures. Friday I leave work early in the hopes of having enough time to finish getting things ready for the show. (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) well, now that I'm awake, I'll give it a shot. :) The layout was 90" by 120", pretty small, really. As a result it was a bit cramped, especially for whoever was operating at the time. Next time around we should be able to get more layout space (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(film at 11) ;) The long and short of it is that they were very impressed, and we got invited down to Supertrain 2001 in Calgary - The Calgary folks implied that we could have as much layout space as we wanted. :) The top questions were, of course: (...)   Early look at LEGO Arch

Here’s some early development photos of my arch: (URL) intend to use this principal (developed with help from my AFOL/Engineer brother Dallas) to make models of bridges and other StRuCtures, and sell them as BrickSmith kits.   Re: work schedule for the show

(...) Checking the bus maps and schedules, it looks like I should be OK for just about any time. The number 9 is my main bus heading north, and it goes to Kingsway shopping center, which looks to be about a 3 or 4 block walk from the show site. So, (...)   Re: Train show details
