First, sorry for the crazy cross-posting of this article but I wanted to get
everyone that requested a change to the maps all at once.  I have set
follow-ups to lugnet.org but please feel free to add relevent groups to your
followup posts.  This way the thread won't get lost for those interested but it
won't get cross posted to areas that don't care.

For more info on why this is important please read this article (Nice article
Paul!!)

Now to the map.  I have added just about all of the changes that you have all
requested either in an E-mail or posted to LUGNET.  I have put these changes up
on the development site for now and once all the changes are approved I will
ask Todd and Suz to move these to their proper LUGNET home.

I am still waiting on 2 changes for different reasons.

1.  Link to http://www.nalug.ab.ca/ .  I am waiting for this domain to go
active before making the link.

2.  I am waiting for more information on a Toronto based LUG before adding it
to the map.  I am mostly waiting for info on an offical name for the group then
it will be added.

The list of changes are below.  Some are cosmetic but most are your requested
changes.

1.  At the point you drill far enough into a map to have to choose an "area of
focus" I have made it more obvious that these are just thumbnail maps.  The
reason for separating the areas of focus is because in many cases groups that
have different areas of focus will overlap on a map.  This was the easiest way
for me to solve the problem.

2.  Australia/Oceania Map has been added with LegOz and Studs as groups.  (this
was a little different because LegOz covers all of Australia and Studs a
regional area.  I tried to represent this on the map.  I also did not know of a
LegOz web site so if there is one please let me know.

3.  VicLUG was added to the Canadian LUG map.

4.  UKLUG was added to the European LUG map.  (Added as reqested dispite the
controversy :-).

5.  LEGOMUG was added to a "Robotics" map from the Asian map.

6.  Fixed the spelling of De Bouwsteen.

7.  Added BayLTC to the US LTC map with a link to BayLUG as requested.

I think that does it for the changes.  If you have a problem or if I missed
something please let me know.  Once these changes are OK'ed and I get the info
I need to make the other 2 changes I will have Todd and Suz move this over to
LUGNET.

Thanks,

Eric Kingsley

(...) One thing which would be handy is links from focus pages for a region to all the other focus pages for the region. Also, an "up" link might be a good idea just in case someone links to a region page. (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.org)
