  Re: Aussie train org?

(...) I have all 9V and am trying to get enough bits together to make some decent scenery. (...) As Ross pointed out previously, my non-Lego building is taking up most of my weekends at the moment, otherwise I am interested in being involved. (...) (...) (...) At least we realise Lego is a toy :^o (...) The US shows seem to be appreciated by the public, which is surely half the battle. Most people have built with Lego and kids use it, whereas less may have had a proper model train, and less again (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

(...) The ones I saw were at a TRU as well, so should be the same price as Rosco. Maybe it's cheaper to wait until LA gets another shipment, hopefully your train doesn't get bored in the meantime, that's only if it's a really useful engine. (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au)

I'd be happy to be involved however I can be. I do have a fair bit of track and some trains too, so that might be useful *tongue in cheek*, and designing layouts is always fun reagrdless of the situation. The only hitch is that there's no gaurantee (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au)

I wonder what the acceptance factor is amongst model trainheads for wonky scale Lego trains. I (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

(...) Maybe it's really a MUGfest. Since it's their home game. How about a national convention in Albury/Wodonga sometime (Syd/Mel-centric). Canberra would be the obvious choice, Albury may be cheaper. (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au)
