I'm not sure where Bris-Vegas originally came from BUT it started appearing in the
Brisbane street press around 1992. I think it originally had something to do with
the absolute lack of anything on in Brisbane most of the time and the fact that
the new Treasury Casino had recently opened here. Since then it has spread through
the local lingo and into the more mainstream press.
Anyone know more??
