Totally off-topic: where did "Bris Vegas" start? The first time I heard it was
on Merrick and Rosso, but did they get it from somewhere else? Or is it
like "Seppo" -- totally Oz, but not very common?

Off Topic (...) I'm not sure where Bris-Vegas originally came from BUT it started appearing in the Brisbane street press around 1992. I think it originally had something to do with the absolute lack of anything on in Brisbane most of the time and (...) (24 years ago, 12-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)
