Its a bit like that when you discover all these resources on the net.
I remember the first time i came across rec.toys.lego in '96. I was like
WOW..all this interest in Lego. Then i thought, hey these folks may be able to
help me out with 12V train stuff. Here i was thinking it was a good source of
old lego stuff. When actually it turns out to be the opposite, in that it was a
source of others collecting valuable lego stuff.

Lugnet only fuelled the obsession with Lego. Especially being able to see what
else is going on internationally, such as peoples creations and the Lego event.

Ebay has only achieved one thing for me. Made me lose my $ on sets I wanted as
a child (heheh this is a good thing though).

I see the next major "step" in my Lego evolution will be once Lego officially
becomes more active with Lugnet or some other on-line method.
Look out wallet and investments then. Is there such a thing as the Short Term
Lego Market?

I've only just got back into Lego recently, (when I got a MindStorms set), • so
havent had much time to spend all my hard-earned cash. Yet...

"Yet" is the word. I too innocently returned from my Dark Ages by "just"
getting a Mindstorm RIS. Then I just needed a few more Technics parts. Then
I just saw a few heavily discounted sets. Then I just felt some of those
Star Wars sets were so cute. Then I just saw how I could buy some of the
great classic sets on e-bay. Etc etc.

Those little bricks are seriously addictive stuff!

Just checked out the Lego entries on e-bay for the first time yesterday. The
beginning of the end...
