  RE: ebay question

Well, the easiest alternative is to get a visa [or similar] debit card. Then you can only spend the money in whatever account you have it lnked to, and can't get yourself into debt on it...You can only spend money you already have. I've got one of (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.au)

Great!! This is 100% accurate and totally useless to me though!! I don't have a credit card, so probably wouldn't be allowed to register anyway. I'm not sure if this would be of great help, but when converting currencies I always use (URL) as they have a good conversion setup.   Re: ebay question

Thanks, I'm already registered with ebay [before they required those details] and have a couple of auctions underway, but was wondering if the 'no listing fee in Australia' covered auctions in $US which are originated in Aus. DickSmith had advertised on the weekend the Mindsitoms "DDK" for $100, which I would by it for except for my current self-imposed money restriction. Aaron Coghill Kyola Department Emergency Services (URL) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: ebay question

Hi Ben, I recently had a heated discussion with people from ebay in Australia. Ebay has this new rule since Aug 1999 that all new sellers must give credit card details to be registered. This, I was happy to do but they refused to accept these (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.au)
