(...) That'd be a pity. It will be a long w'end so if you are down there you might still be able to catch a MUGlift (if any decide to visit) (...) Thanks! It might be easiest to make sure all the track comes from one source. (...) Yes, the ideas I'm (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au)

Re: Trains Trains and Train Shows.

(...) I'm surprised you didn't also post this to the regular lugnet.train newsgroup...it would have got some of them into the conversation. I think I have a few similiar experiences like that...I mean to start off, when some people that know me find (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Trains Trains and Train Shows.

(...) Amongst model trainheads, Lego trains do not enjoy a high acceptance factor. "They're just toys" is the usual comment (I think they mean it as an insult....). There have been a few anti Lego train comments on aus.rail.models in the past. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Trains Trains and Train Shows.

(...) Maybe. I would like some more info on where it's being staged and manning requirements and security arrangements, but it sounds like a great idea.   Re: Trains Trains and Train Shows.

I'd be happy to be involved however I can be. I do have a fair bit of track and some trains too, so that might be useful *tongue in cheek*, and designing layouts is always fun reagrdless of the situation. The only hitch is that there's no gaurantee (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au)

(...) I'll ring the people that orgainse it thursdayish, I just wanted to see if anyone at all was interested, there'd be no point setting something up with them if there wasn't any takers from this side. It's a model railway show, so we're talking (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Trains Trains and Train Shows.

(...) I'd definitely be interested. I'm looking at building some train MOCs after I get my current project out of the way. Actually, my current project would probably look OK in a layout, but more on that when it's nearer to completion... (...) I (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Trains Trains and Train Shows.

Since last weekend at MUGfest, we had a train layout going (pictures to come), and there was a bit of interest in trains, there may be a chance some of the MUGs could be interested. Also I got my second train set today, Yippee! I could probably (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)
