Just a note to let people know that I've thrown together a bulletin board type page, with essential links and upcoming events listed. Any suggested improvements?   Train questions
 
I have a few questions about Trains that I hope someone can answer. I am thinking of getting a train set from the U.S., the 4561, I know it is not everyones favourite, but at least it will be a start. 1 - Do I just need to get a new plugpack for (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Yes...All you need [I think] is a 9V transformer with the correct connecter on the end...I think Dick Smith stores used to carry a multi-voltage adapter which came with 5 or so different plugs that should work.
