1 - Do I just need to get a new plugpack for this from Lego?
Yes...All you need [I think] is a 9V transformer with the correct connecter
on the end...I think Dick Smith stores used to carry a multi-voltage adapter
which came with 5 or so different plugs that should work.

2 - If so, does anyone know how much this will cost (I think that in the
U.S., Lego will send one for free)?
$20-$35 I'd guess...but that is a guess.

Or, has anyone seen the 4560 (Oz version of 4561), for less than $200?

Nope...not that I've really had any interest in it...
