With our train club there are a lot of elements such as base plates, road plates
and such that I wouldn't use in my personal collection (not in such large
quanities) but is needed for large public layouts. So we use club funds that we
get from some of the shows we do to pay for such items, as well as pay for club
items such as tables, banners, posters and other show items.

As for storage we lable everything and keep it all in one place between shows.
For the past few years it's all lived in a spot in my garage and kept seperate
from my personal collection. Now it all lives in the trailer I purchased.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess the next question in that train of thought
is how do you acquire club funds?

Like Larry said, we do some shows that pay us to be there, not all of the events
we do pay money. We do try to keep a balance of about half and half. In the U.S.
we have some major shows that move around the country, the biggest being GATS
and then there are other more regional ones such as Greenberg. These kind of
shows charge people to attend and in return pay clubs to exhibit.
