Re: Perspectives on a Lego Community Website

(...) I have more on the whole concept coming up in a later post, but just want to bounce off of this idea. Calendar links could be entered in a central spot - that would be good. But, taking it a step further (and underscoring that the central site (...) (22 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org)

Re: Perspectives on a Lego Community Website

(...) So far, the architecture supports multiple levels of access to areas of the site, including various administrative areas for statistics, and management of content. It is my hope that much of the back-end reporting can be made useful to TLC, (...) (22 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

Re: Perspectives on a Lego Community Website

(...) It seems to me that if areas of the website could be editted/updated by individuals who don't necessarily have permissions to the overall format, the website would have a lot more of a community feel, and the burden on any one particular (...)   Press releases

Anyone have any sample press releases they'd be willing to share?   Re: Resource Sharing (was: Kicking the Brick with: Paul Hartzog)

(...) Cool :-) I think club sites could integrate nicely with a community project like that. Imagine an interactive events calendar database, searchable all different ways, that a club could post events on... just for starters. (...) Feel free! Glad (...)   Resource Sharing (was: Kicking the Brick with: Paul Hartzog)

(...) Well I would be willing to tie in the MichLUG.org website into a community project where it makes sense. Although I can't readily think of a place where it does makes sense. (1) (...)   Re: Help on Starting a LUG at a University

(...) That might be pushing it, but posting in each dorm's lobby is probbably not. (...) My freshman year I took a good assortment of MOCs and sets, and lots of minifigs to adorn my desk. People would come into my room just to play with the stuff, (...) (22 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

Re: Help on Starting a LUG at a University

(...) Tim, Hey, how you been? Thanks for the quick response. Yes, we have some key bulletin board spots but I'll have to investigate some more to make sure none are overlooked. I know once a flyer is approved it can be posted on/at any designated (...) (22 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

(...) Ben, St. Louis represent! Anywho, thanks for the reply. I've probably run into your mom at Schnucks or Bread Co. at some point (pumpkin muffins...yummmm). Meeting with friends to discuss building ideas sounds good but I didn't know of anyone (...) (22 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)
