I work as an electronics technician for Best Buy which sells both plus I
personally own the sony 530. I am just wondering a few things first. What
type of receiver do you own? Per say digital processor, brand name, things
like that. What do you want your DVD player to do for you? I was going to go
with the Toshiba dual deck DVD and that option is very nice because many
movies now come with two DVD's. The reason I bought sony was because I have
the sony strde-925 receiver with DTS and I could operate both units from the
receiver remote. IF brand isn't a preference I would stick with the Toshiba
and I've done some work with them and everything looks pretty nice, good
quality on the worksmanship. The other part I would like to bring up is do
you have any knowledge on regionalization? That not all DVD players cannot
play burned music CD's or video CD's (video CD's are a different type of
compression format than DVD's). Any questions just e-mail me and I can help
you out as best as I can. I don't post in this group too often so if you want
to ask me anything you will need to e-mail me.
