Top be a bit more precise, his email address is pterry@something
(something.demon.co.uk, IIRC), he sometimes signs off with it IIRC,
and it makes a nice convenient shorthand. ;)

Possibly. I haven't read the last few so I can't say whether they were
very substandard. I also don't tend to see things like that very
strongly, anyway.
