I would think all TFT's are pretty similar, but I thought I read somewhere in
some review of some laptop that a "con" of it was a slower refresh and I didn't
remember noticing that it wasn't a TFT. But I also noticed a marked difference
in flicker on the 15" SXGA TFT display I saw (three feet away from) a 13" XGA
TFT display in the same lighting. So I guess if the refresh rate is the same
for all TFT's, there's something else going on. Anyway, I'm curious anyone
has had any positive or negative experiences with UXGA displays. I don't know
much about laptops or notebooks but I'm considering maybe switching to a Linux
notebook and ditching my main workstation sometime in the next few months.

| (...) well, can't help you with UXGA (unfortunatly, my vaio only supports 1024x786), but I will say that I love having it. no more having to worry about sync between work box and home box, and even getting some work done on the metro sometimes!
