both on my two vaio pcg-z505* I had absolutly no problem installing RH6.2.
Even the memory stick drive is supposed to be working... though I don't have
any memory sticks to try it out with. :/ Havn't gotten around to get sound to
work on the RX, but on the HE (I think - don't have it anymore) it was no
problem at all.

I saw people doing that on the acela... looked like a pretty good idea, except
that the superslim models don't have internal cdroms, so it get's a bit bulky
to carry around...
