  Re: Datsville

(...) Well, MediaOne, for a while. I don't use them as my home page (duh) but if I wanted information on anything, that was annoying. SGI's site doesn't _require_ javascript, but it's a lot nicer with. There's others. I wish there were better (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Datsville

(...) Like who? They don't get my visit. But I've never had a problem. If a site requires more than basic HTML, I find that life actually becomes easier if I avoid it. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Datsville

(...) Unfortunately, a lot of sites are becoming javascript-dependent. The hassle of having javascript turned off is worse than that of having it turned on. (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) Turn off Javascript. There will be no pop-up windows with Javascript turned off. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Op een zekere dag, te weten Mon, 6 Sep 1999 06:41:35 GMT, klom "Sproaticus" <jsproat@io.com> in het toetsenbord en schreef ons: (...) Yeah, they're beautiful.   The Pleiades

Wow. It's after midnight and I'm walking my dog, in what must be some of the thickest light pollution in which one can see stars, when I glance at something I've never noticed before, just above the east horizon. The Pleiades were just bright (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) I'm with ya. OK, lemme practice. Ahem. :'] ___...___begin rant___...___ Microsoft Internet Explorer is a rickety, rotten, bug-infested, malodorous cesspool of filth, coughed up like a steaming pus-infected hairball from the collective bellies (...)   Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) I wonder why so many people have a hard time telling I'm being sarcastic and so many others don't? I think most people get it IRL. In fact, I know they do. :) (25 years ago, 3-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) Nobody? Tell that to all the people who made a killing with the RedHat IPO. (25 years ago, 3-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  Re: MSIE5 security hole

(...) Heh. You're not disagreeing with what I meant, just what I said. I think Communicator 4.5 on is a pile of garbage. If I ever see another stupid bug report window pop up within 30 seconds of running their stupid product I'll never bother trying (...)
