I've suddenly noticed a large contingency of Eri[ck]s (1) around here, too. We
shall prevail!
(1) the [ck] for those of you not graced with being computer nerds, is a Perl
regular expression for a character class containing 'c' or 'k'. Thus, Eric or
Erik are both valid forms of the name. Erick, however, is not, as it implies
someone's parents couldn't make up their minds.
