DUDE! I totally agree with you on the whole phonetic-spelling-is-better thing. I know that English has the most horrific spelling of any language on the planet, but if people are writing in that language, then they should spell the words right. (...) I have found that by trying to understand the etymology (1) of certain words you can actually grow fond of the bizarre ways in which they are spelt... or is it (...) When Norway became an independent country, they tried to rid the Norwegian language of the influence from the two former mothercountries, Denmark and Sweden. This resulted in the constructed (...)
