Re: Death of the Old Guard

(...) I manage just fine, I posted a village ( Straight Street a little while ago) and it has freed up cash for real castle off bricklink... I don't buy studios because I don't think lego should make monster stuff for kids (there is enough in other (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Death of the Old Guard

(...) You don't buy those sets "On principle"? Ye gods, WHY?! Brick is brick is brick, no matter what set it comes from. Even *Jack Stone* has SOME good parts. Star Wars and Harry Potter sets have given me *tons* of useful bricks, plates, and (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) I think Full Time 4WD and AWD are used synonymously (at least in the US), which implies that there is a center differential. FT 4WD is differentiated from standard 4WD usually on vehicles that offer both variants. I don't think there are any (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) are you sure it isn't the other way round? That's always been my experience. (URL) a not too bad explanation. Manufacturers want this to be a confusing topic, it seems. I do agree, a part time 4WD should not be taken on dry pavement unless (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Death of the Old Guard

(...) I'm not an "old guard", by any means, but I've posted a few times. I'm *supposed* to be a castle-head, but this has been keeping me busy for a lot of hours: (URL) castle-head James Brown has been similarly busy. It all the fault of the (...) (...) All wheel drive equipped vehicles (Subarus, Mercury Mountaineers, etc.) have a center differential between the front and rear axles. 4WD equipped vehicles do not and shouldn't be driven over road with the 4WD engaged. -Rob. (24 years ago, 24-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
