I don't know if it's bizarre per se, but I'm a little puzzled by the
assertion (which you snipped for some reason) that:

That just doesn't make sense to me at face value.
Whether Browne's stances are admirable or not, the simple truth is that
even if he somehow got into The White House, he'd never push any of his
policies through Congress.
