I haven't ever tried to convert Karim. I have, however, tried to meddle in his
spiritual business by expressing my beliefs. The distinction is small but
profound.
By trying to convert Karim, I would be attempting to force him to do something
he has feelings against. However, by trying to be an example, I am letting him
pick and choose items from my meme stream and apply those, if there are any, to
himself as he sees fit.
Now, if someone enters a argumentive discussion with me concerning my beliefs,
then all bets are off -- but their shields would be raised anyway.
I feel that Karim's caution is warranted; in fact, I would recommend anyone to
be so skeptical. He has no way of knowing whether what I say is applicable
towards him or not, without careful study.
