When I heard about Dubyas string of bon mots, I figured that its just par
for the course. Does it really seem appropriate for an alleged president to
make jokes at the expense of US soldiers and innocent Iraqis whove died
because of his fabricated war? I can think of several very fitting words to
describe him, but I would be banned from LUGNET for using them.

Ahem. This would be more of that true prejudice affecting your opinion
stuff. George W. Bush would never mock or make light of the sacrifices he
has asked American families to make. Clearly, the bit was intended as
self-deprecation. Your hatred of Bush has tainted your judgment.

Really? If I claimed that you were a threat and then shot you dead, would you
(from beyond) laugh along with me when I joked about my erroneous (or false)
claim of threat?
I admit that I hate Dubya just about as much as it is possible to hate someone I
will never likely meet, and in some matters I dont doubt that my antipathy may
prevent me from viewing his administration with objectivity, but I think his
comments are self-evidently tasteless. Perhaps he should use these comedy
stylings in his next re-election commercial? Lets see how much of his
constituency finds his antics amusing.
Dave!
