Do you honestly beleive that a criminal is using a registered gun in the
first place? By the way, just a little history for you: Registered gun
oweners were the first group of Jews rounded up by the Nazis. By the time
they realized what was happening and could have fought back, most of the gun
owners were already in concentration camps.
|
No, by definition a criminal is exactly that. However, see the hammer
argument, and the fact that the majority of murders are committed by people
who KNOW each other. And Alcohol is often a factor...its harder to kill
someone with a set of chopsticks than with a gun - and you have to physically
get dirty to do it.
And what, praytell did the Jews do without guns? Oh, just little things-
those who had the courage like the Stolzenkomando (? not sure of spelling)
who blew up their crematorium. I dont think any of them had guns...at least
not legal ones. The first decision was to resist, and that is where those
gun owners did not do so.
|
Did you even read my post? The gun owners were the first group of Jews rounded
up for precisely that reason.
|
It was left to much later in the war before the
realization of what was ongoing became apparent. But they still had to wait
for a army to liberate them- if they had had a different prospective, perhaps
things would have been different, but it was really the first time industrial
genocide had been committed.

The greatest threat to freedom is not from the occasional random crazy
individual (which one is never going to stop anyway) as you seem to think,
but from those that make and enforce the so called laws. I dont trust a
police officer to have a gun anymore than I trust your average person off
the street. If I have one too, then at least we are on equal terms. As far
as an F-16 dropping a cluster bomb on my house, well if several million
people didnt start shooting politicians for that, I would be very
surprised. Thats why they wont do that.
|
Im glad to see you have a unhealthy dose of paranoia. If you dont like the
so called laws of society, then move out. Go live in some nice place like
Chechnia with your gun collection, and let us know how long you live. I
doubt it will be very long on your own, because those so called laws are
what is protecting you here.
|
Words on paper (laws) protect me less than the police do. Police do not stop
crime over 99 percent of the time. They simply investigate and make arrests
after the fact. You still have not addressed the main point. What do you do when
the Government and Police break the law.
