So I was coming here to see if people were talking about the war and the
first thing I noticed was this : I win this weeks Lego cool site of the
week.  *sigh*  yipiii...  :-(

Don't get me wrong.  It's an honour that I'm very happy about.  I've worked
hard on my companies' website to make it a must-visit for LEGO fans.  The
problem is, I won the very day the war started.  How can I feel happy about
it when people are dying half-way across the world?  Ok, ok, people die
every day, everywhere...  But this is different.  I'm Québécois, not
American.  I've tried to avoid this issue before, but my deception of USA's
foreign affairs policies is just too big.  America should be ASHAMED of
itself today.  There.  I said it.  Now i'm the public enemy number 3 after
Bin Laden and Hussein.

A sociologist once told me: "USA is a great country, but as much as you'll
find great minds and great people, you'll also find the most stupid people
on earth there."  Bush and his followers are of the seconf kind.  When I
hear people say these attacks are to defend freedom, to protect America,
etc, I can't help but feel unsecure about the fact that the very same people
are controlling to strongest army the world has ever had.  This power should
be used to help peace, not START war.  Iraq may be governed by a tyran, it
did NOT attack USA.  The UN was against war...  why do the USA think they
are superior to the UN?  France, Germany, Russia were right.  And many
american cities were against too.  NY for example.  It's a sad day for
democraty.  It's a sad day for peace.

So thanks for the people who voted for my website.  Thanks for your support.
I'll continue to improve it as much as I can.  But I'll always remember that
I won in the most unpleasant circumstances.  This honour has a bitter taste
because of Republicans.  Damn Bush...

Good luck to us all.  May this war that should never have started end quickly.

Terry, As much as I generally loathe wading into .debates, I feel I have to speak up and agree with you, or at least your political stance. I've been arguing all day, seemingly with the rest of my bit of America (backwater Michigan, so one can (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Before I get to my point..congrats on the CSotW. You earned it! (...) Last time I checked, peace is exactly what we're striving for. We didn't ask for attrocities to occur against any people of the world, but they occured anyway. (...) Because (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
