I had a similar experience once. Pretty much the same thing, except it
was the fourth of july. They were quieter until a 2:30 group
sing-a-long of "Proud to be an American" Nothing makes me prouder than
60 drunks singing that song. :)

It seems to be getting worse (or maybe I'm getting older but I am try to
be objective). I did some research today and found out that aggravated
assualt is about 300% of the 1999 value on my campus. I can't find
stats online for my city. What's interesting is around 2000/2001 my
university lowered its enrollment standards for undergrads. I know
correlation doesn't equal causation but there has to be some
relationship between these.

Me either. That's why I wanted to ask the brightest bunch of people I
know for some suggestions. ;)

I also found out that as a university student I am entitled to free
legal advice. I'm going over to talk to a lawyer about what are the
rights of the neighborhood. We've (active members of our 'hood)
received lots of support from people in town so far. The city has also
tentative agreed to eliminate parking on our street which is the only
place to park for five blocks. It may help cut down on the amount of
party traffic which a main cause of the problem. Also, as soon as the
university finds out about the incident apparently this would fall under
an expellable offense. It sounds harsh but these guys are just jerks.
As far as pushing back too far... I don't know how far they can be
pushed. THey know that we know what went on. They have been quiet and
scared for the last few days- that's a small victory, unfortunely it
cost that poor guy who got beat up a little. I'm willing to go as far
as I can to get what needs to be done done.

attracting a girl that already rejected the offer)
