Like Matt, I hadn't heard of the show until the toys were announced. I tried
watching the show a couple of times but it really didn't grab me.

Your arguement would be more constructive if it wasn't so sweeping in it's
generalization. That's purely a matter of preference, never anything for you.

If your comparison is to an element count in any other Lego brand kit then
your arguement should tie up it's shoelaces cos it slipped again. The pieces
are huge. There's a head piece, a torso, some arms, some legs. It's like a
huge minifig with friction pegs. re: the pod kit I'm sure that will end up
in some discount bin.. not a lot of appeal there. ~ generally ~ one company
holds the liscence for a toy franchise * ducks * Yes, I know there's a
zillion companies making starwarts stuff but that's really quite the
exception. * puts hand up .. I bought a really cool 2 pack of galidor toys.
I havn't a clue what their names are cos I didn't get them to have cool toys
from that great new show. With Lego I have my own agenda and my harry potter
kits and any other official liscence are appropriated into the masses quite
quickly. O, the galidor toys I got are blue and white:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=19862 (one of 2 galleries
that are now open to the public =\ ). I think they are great, they make neat
clicky noises have good posability and they make some really bent stuff when
you mix them up. I'm looking forward to doing mad experiments seeing what
lego elements work with them. As far as being a purist goes, I went to the
darkside when throwbots came out, so I'm already there and warming your seat
up in Lego Inferno. Also, I've never been one to get a set for the line it's
from or it's brick count. I look at a new kit and evaluate the percentage of
unique bricks, prints and different colours of bricks I already have to give
it any personal value. But we all have our own way of playing =)

interesting, didn't know that !
