The vouchers was a great idea--you send your kid to whichever school system you're most comfortable with, whether it's run by your church or someone else, or even home schooling, and your tax dollars goes to that school system. (...) Why not just abolish taxes for schools rather than having the half-way measure of vouchers? No question of the government subsidizing religion (and who has the biggest chain of private schools?
