How about "banks don't loan money to political parties"?? If the LP folds
up, it *will* be a disaster. To the LP. Maybe not to anyone else of course,
but the use of the word disaster is justified, in context.
If I lost my job, it would be a disaster. To me. If I posted saying
"Disaster has befallen me, we declared bankruptcy and had to auction
everything off and I'm cannot participate in the LEGO community as I have no
credibility with my suppliers any more, since I broke contract with them and
can't ask them to contract with me any more.", would you deride me as saying
disaster wasn't the right word to use?
You might cheer that a voice you didn't agree with was silenced, but you'd
be pretty confused to say that it *wasn't a disaster* from *my perspective*.

Doubtful. I suspect they'd be flattered by the attention as it would
validate the LP as being important and influential enough to terrorise.
Presunably they're safe for the forseeable future.
> Would they still blame the post office?
But I think you need to read more carefully, there isn't any *blame* being
dished out, just a statement that mail is being delayed and the delay is
increasing in duration, and reply mail is hit hardest.
Turning it around a bit, if the post office at some future date says "we're
putting a dollar surcharge on all mail so we can keep it safe" and after
THAT something slips through, I WOULD consider the post office culpable.
Oh wait. that's what the goverment just DID, they are charging more fees for
security as implemented under their scheme.
PS... from now on any charge that posting LP press releases is SPAM can be
discounted completely, right? Unless of course it's OK for one to post stuff
one is attacking but not stuff that one agrees with? That can't be right.
Both uses are in support of the arguments one makes.
