Re: Minifig Escort Destroyer HES Indescribable (MB)

(...) Hell no! One of the cute things about these cheaper blocks is that one can afford to buy more! Glad you like it :-) Now I need to work out what else the Port Block Yards Flotilla needs...   Re: Minifig Escort Destroyer HES Indescribable (MB)

(...) Excellent! I do hope we'll get more shots of that 5" DP turret, I'm always interested in how people deal with that particular (and ubiquitous) mounting. Someday I will be able to get more than one minifig into a 5" twin mount...(I may use a (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Minifig Escort Destroyer HES Indescribable (MB)

(...) Richard, once again you've done some fabulous work that I hope will enable people to take clone brands more seriously. Did you have to dismantle the carrier to build this one? I hope not; it would be great to see them side-by-side. In any (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Minifig Escort Destroyer HES Indescribable (MB)

Evening all, The largely Mega Bloks Minifig Escort Destroyer HES Indescribable made her maiden cruise on the weekend (after salvage and refit) at Studfest VII. I will get around to some Port Block Yards shots in due course, but for now (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.pirates)

  Clone Weapons

Hi all...just browsing Ebay, and saw this: (URL) guy on the far right, that bow, anyone have a clue where it's from? Looks like something that'd be a cool "majickal" weapon, or som'n... And, on a similar note, I have a black sword I found in a (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Megablocks race set

Hi Rose, I have 2 of these sets and they are great fun to play with go through lots of AAA batteries though. Craig. (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MB in Australia

(...) I got the impression that $25 was RRP, and the Big W std was therefore $20. TRU seem to me to be regualar RRP dudes, but with decent sales prices from time to time. (...) Yup Richard Still baldly going... (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MB in Australia

(...) The khaki helicopter and tank were A$24.XX at TRU/A$19.99 at W already, have these gone up again ? (...) Must mean they are selling a few. I think we are still cheaper than the US for MB when conversions are done, or were those Canadian (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  MB in Australia

Evening all, Just a note for Australian MB devotees that TRU has increased the prices on the Pro-builder range - sets under $30 have gone up by $5 and sets over $30 have gone up by $10. This doesn't shift the value proposition appreciably... Big W (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Megablocks race set

Does anyone have the Megablocks Race track set? Where two cars race around a slotted track. Rose (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: HES Valhalla

(...) Really stunning! At first I was amazed at the scale of the ship, and then I remembered that MB sets are so full of bricks that they feel like cinder blocks. That beauty almost makes me want to rush out and buy the Kitty Hawk (I say almost...I (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Ignore that last post. The thread looks screwy so I didn't see all of the replies. I'm coming off a sugar high so I'm too cynical. Felix (24 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: HES Valhalla

Very cool model! I had my misgivings when I saw it had MB, but you certainly did well with it. I'll tell you... I just don't get people. You post a cool MOC like this one and no one responds. But if you mispell a word or say something negative about (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  MegaBloks Whitehouse yes or no?

I was perusing the MB website, and I can't find the Whitehouse model the we'd been anticipating. I checked the ProBuilder pages, and it's not there. Was it ever listed? I've only ever seen it in print catalogs, and I know MB isn't exactly fastidious (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Coko, until about 6 years ago was sold in the US at some TRU, Rite-Aid, and Aldi stores (at least those are the ones I know of). Little generic Coko sets (with no name) were sold at Walgreens.   Re: What's the connection?

(...) some odd designs, like 1x1 plates with a stud2 on top, as well as 4-high castle wall segments. Does anyone know if Coko can ship to the US or has a US distributor? I suppose it would be prohibitively expensive to order directly from them, but (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: What's the connection?

(...) Blok-Tek was made by Coko. I believe that Coko is a clone of both Tyco and Lego. Some of their stuff is almost exactly like Tyco, while some of their bricks are only available from Lego. Baseplates and castle wheels are Tyco, but no half (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  What's the connection?

In recent months I've acquired a number of old clone sets, and I've noticed some clear similarities that make me wonder about the connections between the various manufacturers. Certain non-standard-brick pieces from Coko and Blok-Tek are identical (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Lego cutting plates in Catalogue Dioramas (Was and part of it still is Re: More on the decline of LEGO quality... [long])

(...) Top marks Nicholas! No I didn't know this, but suddenly one of my heretical pursuits is considerably less heretical. Admittedly I don't tend to cut up roadplates (haven't got enough of those), I cut up grey baseplates to make ship decks, but (...)
