I loved Tente--it was the only good way to build
believeable ships for me, until about three years
ago when I had my design "breakthrough" that
made the size of Lego hulls effectively limitless, if
angular (but not pixellated). I had two destroyers
and a little aircraft carrier! I even still have all
of the planes. I like them, but I really don't use
them anymore--I wish I could have found the
ships with the big turrets and the giant carrier
with the tiny attack jets!
My opinion, having rebuilt my "Merrill" destroyers?
They were pretty good approximations. Those 5"
DP turrets are right on the money for accuracy--
and I loved the little torpedo tubes and AA gun
tubs. Unfortunately, most of the AA guns are
broken off, although only one of the 5" turrets has
shared this fate. If you find yourself in need of
Tente, I've given up trying to add to my collection
and so it's negotiable as parts. Anything to get
more bits to build my Lego fleet, and recreate
the 2.5 meter behemoth of last summer...I have
no instructions, though.
Now the Droid Factory, *that* was a very cool
thing...:)

| Having just subscribed to this group, I decided to see what clones I have. The Castles others talk about sound cool. I have three Tyco bricks and 2 Mega Blocks bricks (one of which is pink!) - I have no idea how I got them, but I keep them (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
