Gender-changing plates -- in new MegaBlocks sets?

(...) [actually 2 X 2, as noted by another poster] (...) O.K., for the first time my local TRU has a rather large selection of MegaBlocks.   Where Can I Find Mega Bloks Planetoids Sets?

Hey Y'all: I am looking for Planetoid set 9322 Repzyllian Fighter. I was getting these for $3-4 at KB Toys previously. Are there any places still holding in Northern CA or online that I should check out? Thanks in advance, Richard (24 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) This was my primary "yay!" over TENTE way back when. The fit was inconsistent, the greys did vary occasionally, but the variances looked very good somehow. Unfortunately IMHO Mega Bloks has a ways to go before it will reach the level of TENTE (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Yeah it was tricky, I'm still picking out black blocks out of the navy pile. But I did realise at the time there were both. (...) Look carefully at the instructions and bricks for the speedboat. There are actually black & dark blue pieces in it, and the two are *very* close in colour. (...) I've bought more than six of the battleships, and there's always extras. I think they go by the baker's dozen theory, it's better to have more than less. One set even had three extra clear 2x2's. Careful with the red, white and navy speedboat, (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
