Knex has started selling brick knex hybrid construction sets. They utilize
a locking pin mechanism to join knex to plates and bricks (provided). The
bricks are done on standard lego scale, and come in several forms not
available from other companies, as well as some of the standard
configurations.

This really pretty big news and seems to have not got much press around here.
I stumbed across a link to this site being advertised on BrickShelf:
http://www.knex.com/bricks/index.php
For those who like Knex or thought it may have possibilities in the Lego
world, now the two can connect...

A lot of the proportions of Knex line up perfectly with certain stud lengths so
this could be even bigger/more important than that first glance implies. It
certainly has my attention. After all certain things are better suited to the
angles you can get with Knex. For example a giant bio-dome strucure overtop a
Brick city. Some food for thought. Of course with all the awesome 2007 Lego
sets, Knex is going to have to make a really good showing to justify any of my
money.
