Re: Are custom made parts LEGO?

(...) What follows is my opinion, not any sort of Lugnet Admin official stance by any means... I think there's a need for a custom parts discussion group but I'm not sure it belongs under off-topic. You can argue it both ways. This argument has in (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.admin.general)

  Are custom made parts LEGO?

Hello! And therefore: Are custom made parts subject of lugnet.general or any respective theme-newsgroup? Though I do not at all deny the creativity that's put into custom made pieces I still wonder. I could take a knife and a piece of wood and carve (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) I think that this might be a good idea indeed! I'm really sick of this blays and rbrowns! Hey, if TLC thinks classic colors are dull (who are they kidding afterall?, kids?...) maybe there are other companys that would not. Does anyone here (...)   Re: Pics of MB Probuilder Blackhawk?

(...) Having heard tell of this set hereabouts, I was keen to find out more about it. We use the Command Ops Blackhawks in Brick Wars, which are fabulous, but somehow unsatisfactory because they're so juniorised. During my recent sojourn to the US I (...)   Big Church

Has anyone seen (URL) this big church?> I found it by accident on the web, and it was the first I'd seen it. The killer, to me, is that the thing was apparently built for use as an acoustic model, rather than out of the bricaholism that afflicts so (...) The only comment I can add is make sure you get them on sale sooner rather than later :) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Custom helmet and armor (fantasy style)

Hi all, Here is something new from (URL) Red Bean Studio>. Please visit my website to see more pictures: (2 URLs) Still very much a work-in-progress at the moment, but I thought I'd share some preliminary pics with everyone here. Your (...)   Odd MEGABLOKS set on Ebay

What the heck is (URL) There are more things in Eurasian entertainment than are dreamed of in my clone philosophy, but I've never even heard of these "Luffy" and "Shanks" characters. That's a spiffy three-wheeler, though. Dave! (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  New Command Ops sets

Haven't seen them on the shelves yet, but here you go: (URL) White Ops Whitewash> (URL) Secure the Dam> Even though they're not complete structures, I like that some of the recent MEGABLOKS sets include buildings, or at least the bombed-out shells (...)   Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) The Oxford stuff on www.etamiya.com doesn't look to be that discounted on the retail side, let alone any shipping. The set off of eBay shows to be from Hong Kong, but must only include surface mail for $10 S&H. I've ordered from overseas (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) $19.98?!? You fink! I spent 2.5 times that much for my set! Of course, the seller was in Hong Kong, so I guess it was my own fault. Still, no regrets. (...) To my knowledge there is currently no website catering to the resale market for clone (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) Dave, I went ahead and bought a set off of eBay, $9.99 + 9.99 shipping. Oxford aside, does anyone operate an aftermarket parts outlet? Thanks. Ed (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) I believe that the set you've shown is part of the Oxford brand of bricks. I purchased a similar set on Ebay and gave a favorable review (URL) here.> In summary, the product was very good, and the plastic quality was excellent, but the cost (...)   Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) I think it would be ideal to know if an equivalent clone part exists and what colors it is in. I think building with off colors wouldn't be problem for myself as long I didn't have to mix between colors of different brands. I think I found (...)   Re: Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

(...) You know, that's a great idea. I confess that I don't have the resources at the moment to give such a project the time it deserves, but there's certainly a lot that could be done in this regard. One of the problems is that numerous brands have (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Clone Parts (and Color ) Inventories

I recently made this posting in the "Building" forum, (...) Better yet, classic light and dark grey! Anyway, does anyone know of resource that inventories current clone parts and colors? Thanks. (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Minimates JLA found!

Hi All: I just grabbed the Minimates "Batwing" set at KMart, of all places, for $19.99. With just 110 pieces, it's not a great bargain, but I wanted to be the first kid on my block. They also had the "Bat-Glider" set for $9.99, but I didn't pick (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Just a heads-up

(...) Gladly! Since I know nothing of trains, I couldn't comment on the accuracy or merits of the set, but I figured I'd get some feedback from the resident trainheads! If I see it in any stores, I'll give another heads-up. Dave! (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Just a heads-up

(...) Verry eeeenteresting. Looks to me to be about a 12 wide perhaps? It certainly might have some good parts to cannabalize. I like the fact that someone else is trying break into this market-- should keep TLC on their toes where we want them;-) (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Just a heads-up

(...) Looks a lot like the Canadian Pacific #2816 - I got a chance to ride behind that very train (double-headed with Minneapolis' own (URL) #261!>) July 3rd. I have pictures of both locomotives here on my desk... :-) JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)
