(...) They're not legos, actually - they're just funny little action figures. They seem to have started out in Japan, and only recently have they been spreading to the US. I got one by mistake on Ebay once because the auctioneer was advertising them (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

They're like clones of Megabloks, only they're "Kubricks". I saw these inside the back cover of January's Previews (comics order book). The characters are quite clever; keep an eye out for them. (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Hey Y'all: This has already been partially discussed in this thread: (URL) seems to now be designing elements and whole sets around lessons learned from Ritvik/Mega Bloks -- and in some respects I think they are not learning the lessons very well, (...) (...) They'd definitely be worth buying at that price--the brick quality is quite good, and the SPUD-ish pieces are pretty cool in their own right. Admittedly, the pre-formed rock pieces aren't very versatile, but the gargoyle and beige statue (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) The special pieces in Weathertop were what I like the most. $5.20 would be a very attractive price for some unique architectural elements. (...) As of this afternoon the LOTR sets appeared to be 50% off. The above sets were $7.40. Prancing Pony Inn was $14.90 IIRC (no guarantee-- in another post I gave wrong prices-- sorry). If the small sets last to $4.94 I will give them a try. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
