  Re: Moonbase Connector (Purists beware!)

(...) Very nice. I am experiencing brick lust for the clone elements I don't yet have in my collection. -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Moonbase Connector (Purists beware!)

It's simple, but utilitarian: (URL) envision it as an entryway to a module specializing in the research of alien technologies, perhaps. More to follow... Dave! (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.space)

Re: Linear Thinking - this is an interesting test

(...) Common? sure. The alleged 98% ??? (no way to check whether it's true in fact)... strains the coincidence envelope. (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

I'll preface this the same way the person who sent me this did... it's *not* a political statement on my part (although I must say Simon's got some clever people backing him). (URL) C. (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Linear Thinking - this is an interesting test

(...) Dunno, but I'd hazard a guess that red hammer would be a pretty common response even without the maths questions. ROSCO (who's normal too....) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Linear Thinking - this is an interesting test

(...) Me too. Google didn't get me anything useful, just a whole bunch of copies of the test; no source or useful speculation. Any psych majors around? James (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Linear Thinking - this is an interesting test

(...) I'm afraid that this is an email I received from my boss's wife so I have no real answers to anybody's questions. I asked her if she knew the background to it but she and her friends only have theories as to why the answer seems to be the same (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Elgo set (not Lego) for sale

The alien bricks appear to be "Block City" from about the same era as Skyline and the same maker. (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Cool looking clone on Ebay

(...) Wow--thanks for the insight. I had gotten as far as "I think it's some kind of gun" when I ran out of military knowledge. I'm eager to receive this item; once it arrives from Hong Kong I'll post a review with pictures. Thanks again, Dave! (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

There are hundreds of construction toys out there (I am amazed.) Here is another live one based on tetrahedrons, which comes with 3D design software (PC only).   Re: Coko Bricks sighting in Sweden

(...) The Coko sets that I own are of near-LEGO-quality ABS and, along with Tyco, probably rate among the "best" of the clone brands. Recently there's been speculation that the current Coko sets might be similar to the awful Shifty brand knockoffs (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
