There are hundreds of construction toys out there (I am amazed.)
Here is another live one based on tetrahedrons, which comes with 3D design
software (PC only). They're proud (like Lasy) to use ABS not PVC.

I think the problem with their great belief in the tetrahedron is that we
live in a rectangularly imagined world, based on the idea of a line, and to
make a line with a tetrahedron you have to work around its basic property.
On the other hand, given a goodly number of tetrahedrons, it's better for
filling volumes.
