My sister and I both grew up with Lego. When she was young she got 3
of those sets with the big people that had minifigs as babies. We both
enjoyed the sets, but we quickly discovered how wonderful all the
tiles were for building "puzzle boxes" with all the sliding mechanisms
that would be concealed. She also had one or two Town sets, as well as
several other Basic sets.
I do remember though when she was a kid playing, most of the time she
would build houses and cars and stuff, and then spend hours having the
minifigs drive around town, change clothes, go shopping, etc. In fact
she played with them so much that several of them have their faces and
printed on clothing worn off.
Both of our pieces were kept mixed together, and we both played with
it tons. I was glad though that she "outgrew" it, since now I have it
all! Bwahahaha! Mine! Mine! Mine!
There's no doubt she enjoyed Lego almost as much as I did. A few
years ago after graduating from college she was saying that someday
she might come over to my house and steal all her pieces back because
she missed playing with Lego. Instead I bought her a bucket of Lego to
keep her placated and that kept her from trying to diminish my
collection. At least so far. :-)
