Re: AFOL on the Today Show?

(...) I didn't see the Statue of Liberty, Cool. It looked more to me like an ad than an AFOL-placed thing. I see people holding up signs for various products all of them time and never figured that those were just big fans, but I'd love to be wrong (...) (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  AFOL on the Today Show?

This morning on the Today Show, I happened to notice what might be an AFOL in the crowd "outside on the Plaza" on the Today Show. In between all of the "I love you mom" and "East Oblivion, Oklahoma" signs, somebody had strung a LEGOLAND (...) (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  NELUG is 02/26/02 Boston Globe.

NELUG has been featured in the Boston Globe, today February 26, 2002. (URL) we are happy with the article although it suffers a little from what we might call "selective compression". The only error in the article is the length of the bridge. The (...) (23 years ago, 26-Feb-02, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.general) !!

White Stripes - Lego music video!

I don't know how many people on Lugnet are familiar with the White Stripes, but they're a Detroit indie rock band. Their new music video is made entirely out of Lego bricks, and some of the things done are amazing! You can view it here: (URL) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-02, to lugnet.mediawatch) !

Re: EBay Settles Lawsuit Against BidBay

It seems eBay is out on a witch hunt. I don't think they were the only ones to come up with the term *bay* for their site. When do the sue Monteray Bay? This is ridiculus. I think I am boycotting eBay... Rick (23 years ago, 21-Feb-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Toy companies: Original vs Copycats

(...) This trademark lawsuit is still going on in some court? The only information I could easily turn up refers to a 1993 lawsuit in France where the judge declared Ritvik was not infringing by using a 2x4 brick logo, which I expect Lego (or (...) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  EBay Settles Lawsuit Against BidBay
